Developments should consider pedestrians

Re the proposed buildings at Chandos Street and Ford Foundry.

Would it be possible for the site on Chandos Street to include a bus station? The situation at present is that the buses are unable to stop at their designated spot, because of a build up of other buses, which means that very often the people waiting to get on the buses have to walk several yards to reach their buses. This is no great challenge if you are fit and well, but for anybody disabled, probably with a heavy bag to carry this is difficult, and quite often a passenger can miss their bus, and might have to wait 30 minutes for the next one. This applies to both sides of that section of the Parade.

Could not the number of shops be reduced to allow a space for this to be considered. It needs to be within the shopping precinct and not an unfeasible distance away.

Secondly, could Morrisons or Warwick District Council make sure that access can be gained to their complex safely as pedestrians. At present pedestrians alighting buses at the Sainsbury centre have to take their lives in their hands to gain access to shops on Myton Road. - Name and address supplied.
