Disappointed by bus company’s service

What’s going on at Stagecoach? Recently I have been aware of a bad deterioration in this company’s performances in this area - mainly concerning the 68 route as opposed to the 67 one. I myself have wasted over an hour waiting for a 68 bus when according to the time table it should come every 60 minutes. I have been accompanied by a considerable number of elderly ladies who have been waiting at the top of the Parade for a 68 bus hoping to get home with their shopping in time to see the one o’clock news.

When drivers have been asked why, they say “it’s not my fault, it’s further up the line of command where things have gone wrong.” Passengers have also been told that they are lucky to have a bus pass - but what use is a bus pass, free or otherwise, when the bus doesn’t turn up? During my working life as an accountant I have seen many different companies in operation, but never one as shambolic as Stagecoach. If companies had been run in this fashion then it would have been just a matter of time before they had gone to the wall.

The country is going through hard times at present, when business should be trying doubly hard to please the public instead of this cavalier attitude which is being used on the long suffering public in this part of town.

What is the point of the single decker buses that run between Leamington and Warwick frequently with no-one on board? Also one frequently sees two number 67 buses going past together. Why are there twice as many 67s as 68s when the demand is the same for each route? Recently I missed a medical appointment because a bus was very late and I am a diabetic and walk with a stick. - J.
