Having seen the artist impression of the proposed sea scout HQ, I am amazed that the WDC have given the Sea Scouts such a large plot of land on Myton Fields.

The proposed building is very large and tall and will take up a large portion of the field. Myton Fields are in a conservation area and on a flood risk area. The fields are in a beautiful position that is enjoyed by a large number of people on most weekends during the summer and at bank holidays becomes full and overspills onto the Banbury Road and Bridge End. Warwick would lose the revenue from the loss of parking spaces and where do people park when Warwick holds special events?

I am sure that there must be an alternative site for the sea scouts rather than use this beautiful open green space. - Gail Warrington, via email
