Guide dogs centre is in a perfect position

As an ex-member of the guide dog training staff, I am pleased their estates manager has denied that they have plans to close the premises on Warwick New Road.

Apart from the historical connections with Leamington - it opened in 1941 - it has always been recognised by training staff as a near-ideal site to undertake the socialisation and education of these special dogs.

Unlike many out-of-town sites, it is situated within easy walking distance of two distinctly different but busy conurbations. It provides a variety of training environments that are easily accessed.

Also, it is recognised that the area has very good transport facilities with the likes of the M40 and Chiltern Railways. - Neil Ewart, via email.
