I support the 180 homes in Warwick

I am fully supportive of the plans to build 180 new homes on Loes farm land near the Woodloes estate, especially if the homes are to be affordable for first time buyers.

I have lived on the Woodloes Estate for 22 years and am currently looking into buying my first property. I would love to stay living in Warwick as it is where I grew up, where my family live and where I now work. However, there are no opportunities for first time buyers to purchase anywhere within Warwick and eventually many young couples won’t be able to continue living in their home town. Properties rarely go on sale and when they do they are just not affordable for young couples looking to step onto the property ladder. So if the properties planning to be built are affordable or offer a scheme for first time buyers, then I fully support the plan for Warwick and other proposed sites.

The majority of protesters are lucky enough to already live in their own home and won’t even be affected by the plans. My question to the protestors is if people had protested about the Woodloes being built 30 years ago then where would you be living now? - Name and address supplied.
