Looking forward to the year ahead

With the approach of the new year the members of the Leamington Spa, Warwick and District Branch of the Royal Air Forces Association can look back on a satisfactory year and look ahead to the coming year.

Highlights this year have been a visit to the Band of the Royal Air Force in rehearsal for their annual tour. While at RAF Northolt the party also paid homage to the Polish Air Force memorial and visited the Royal Air Force Memorial at Runnymede where the names of 20,000 airmen and women who have no known grave are engraved. Two weeks later the group visited the Birmingham Symphony Hall for a performance by the RAF Band.

Our guest speaker on January 2 2013 will be Alan Reid, who will talk on the work o fthe Commonwealth War Graves Commission.
