Opening hours are a load of rubbish

Having completed some gardening I traipsed off to the tip with my green rubbish as my green bin was, as usual, inadequate.

Unfortunately I arrived as 3.25pm to find the tip closed and a notice showing the new winter opening times as closing during the week at 3.15pm.

If this represents some insignificant saving I would ask why all the operatives were hanging about behind the locked gates? Furthermore is this another reduction in services to the council tax payment to justify some additional bonuses for the council executives?

If not I find it hard to believe that the operatives are only paid up to 3.30pm as the public sector unions would not allow this. So what do they do to occupy themselves after 3pm? - M.J. Wheatley, John O’Gaunt Road, Kenilworth.
