Our voice is of little importance

Your editorial (18-4-14) asked the question ‘Where has the town’s voice gone?’.

My answer is simple. If a major participant in the future of the development of Kenilworth can put forward a significant proposal that is immediately supported by the council officers and our representatives, wa y after we have all been consulted on future plans for the town, our voice is clearly of little importance.

I clearly recall one of our representatives saying at a meeting at Jubilee House that no development would take place north of Rocky Lane. No ifs or buts.

I make no judgement on the plan as it now stands, but the process by which it has been arrived at leaves a great deal to be desired.
