Perhaps people aren’t bothered

Recent letters have stated, that a lack of letters in support of the move of the council offices, to a site next to the Spa Centre indicates overwhelming opposition.

Personally I believe, it indicates, a total lack of engagement and indifference, outside of the Leamington Society and friends bubble, by the majority at large.

As for the loss of open space. Opposite is a large park which for most of the year is virtually empty.

Should the Leamington Society, wish to engage the public on a issue. They should hold a referendum, to pedestrianise the Parade. I have no doubt, that this is one proposal which would receive overwhelming support.
