Please let us know what’s going on

We used to have a town centre manager who kept residents and businesses in the centre of Warwick fully informed about activities taking place in the town so that we could hide away or join in as we wished.

Today we hear little except occasional gossip or speculation. I saw one small notice on Sunday about the event in the Market Place to mark the Queen’s Jubilee next Sunday, hardly shouting it for all to hear.

The ceremony granting freedom of the town the previous Sunday was hardly publicised so that Warwick people could go to the Castle and cheer the regiment on.

And I turned out one Sunday to get my papers and found a great collection of scooters of the Vespa type in the Market Place - lovely to see them but if I hadn’t been getting my papers, I would never have known.

Please will someone take responsibility for letting those of us who live in the town, know what is going on. - Alys Woolley, via email.
