Police should hang their heads in shame

I hear that Warwickshire Police Authority is planning to ask the Warwickshire public to stump up more taxes in order to continue to fund the county’s policing at the present level.

I honestly don’t know how they have the sheer gall. At the moment there are three Warwickshire fire officers who are set to be tried in a court of law because they did their job to the best of their ability.

Warwickshire Police and the Crown Prosecution Service have spent the last four years and well over £5 million - that’s well over five million pounds - of our money in investigating and prosecuting these people when there is no court in the land that is going to convict those who put their lives on the line on a daily basis.

I hope that when these boys are publicly exonerated they sue the police for the effect that this might have had on them and their families. That would be something worth paying for but certainly not for this shambolic waste of time and money. Warwickshire Police and Police Authority should hang their heads in shame in my opinion. - Name and address supplied.
