Praise due for music coup

I just wanted to congratulate The Assembly on pulling off an amazing coup last Wednesday night in getting hip-hop legends Public Enemy to play in Leamington Spa.

I am a massive music fan and regularly frequent the Assembly, as well as other venues in the Midlands region.

The Assembly is quite unique, you can see the band on stage from just about anywhere in the main auditorium and its does not seem to matter where you stand the sound quality is always excellent. Then there is the bar. Most venues nowadays charge a ridiculous amount from drinks, the Assembly prices are very reasonable compared to other music venues and are similar to what you would find in a decent pub.

Public Enemy were just superb, how the Assembly pulled off getting an act of such stature to come to Leamington I will never know.

When we come to Leamington to a concert we always frequent the local eateries and bars, there are some great places to eat and drink in the old town. We possibly would not have discovered these establishments had it not been for a concert venue on their doorstep.

I just wanted to let The Assembly know they are doing a great job and we really appreciate them being there.
