Praise in the Park come rain or shine

This Sunday is Pentecost, when the church celebrates the gift of the Holy Spirit, and the birthday of the church.

For the second year running, many of the churches in the town are closing down their morning services, and coming together for “Praise in the Park” – a united service of worship in the Pump Room Gardens, by the bandstand, at 11am. Last year it poured with rain, but around 1,000 people of all ages crowded into All Saints’ church (at the bottom of the Parade) for a service that celebrated all that unites us in Christ Jesus our Lord.

This year we are praying for better weather, and would like to invite all who are interested to come and join us at the bandstand for this wonderful occasion. Anyone coming should bring their own chair or rug to sit on. If it does rain, we will meet in All Saints Church, as we did last year. - Rev Jonathan Jee, vicar St Paul’s, Leamington, on behalf of the Churches involved.
