Stop complaining - it’s a necessary task
Who else is getting a sense of tedium from those complaining about our roadworks? These are not being carried out in order to annoy us, you know. When they are finished we will have an updated and more efficient sewerage system, which has to be preferable to the Victorian, crumbling system which has served us adequately until now.
When our road was refurbished at the end of last summer, the contractors were always professional, polite and friendly. In fact they were amazingly tolerant when I managed to totally by-pass a diversion sign (thank you!) There is a simple and effective way to deal with these temporary diversions. Just set out 15 minutes earlier than you normally would.
