Thank you for helping a lost visitor

I’m writing to say a big “thank you” to a lady who came to my rescue recently.

On Friday March 16 I had dropped my, slightly nervous, 16-year-old daughter at a conference at Warwick University before going off to explore your beautiful countryside. As I made my way back to collect her, she phoned to say that the event had finished early and she was on her own waiting for me to collect her. Unfortunately, I got terribly lost among the back lanes of Kenilworth and was starting to panic when I pulled over to ask directions.

This lovely lady, called Sheila, not only gave me directions, but got in the car, guided me to Warwick University, came with me to collect my daughter and was content to be dropped off out of her way so that I could be on a more direct route to the M6. She had even offered to get the bus home from the university!

All I know is her name and that she lived near Kenilworth Castle. If you are reading this Sheila – many thanks again. - Anne and Caitlin, Clitheroe, Lancashire.
