Why has our crossing been removed?
RE the zebra crossing removal in High Street, Warwick. This is another case of the county council making a decision without doing a survey first. The crossing is used regularly by many residents and visitors.
It provides access to two banks and for visitors returning to the town after visiting the castle. I will visit the district council office to see the plan of proposal and raise an objection to it but I wish to let all residents know of the proposal in case anyone who uses it regularly missed the press notification. At present motorists will allow anyone waiting at the crossing to cross and I don’t recall any accidents occurring. - D V Rose, Pembroke Close, Warwick.
