Yellow lines would solve the problem

I endorse your correspondent’s comments about the dangers created by vehicles parked in Stratford Road, Warwick (Postbag last week) and suspect part of the problem results from motorists avoiding the castle parking charge.

Cars parked on both sides of the road present a major hazard for moving traffic as it can then only flow in one direction at a time.

A way to remedy the situation would be to introduce yellow lines, but when I contacted my local councillor last autumn after a ‘near miss’ I was told nothing could be done in the near future.

In the meantime, as your contributor pointed out, an accident is waiting to happen. - Philip Wallbank, Lodge Crescent, Warwick
