Oxfam shop event today
OXFAM is launching an annual national campaign to help vulnerable women across the world at its books and music shop in Leamington today (Friday).
Passers-by can pop into the shop in Regent Street from 11am to 3pm to join a tea party, peruse books relating to women and learn about the charity’s ‘Get Together’ campaign, which takes place on International Women’s Day, Friday March 8. People are invited to organise a gathering - which could be a tea party, cocktail night, film night, quiz or any other ‘get together’ - to raise funds to support women around the world who are experiencing poverty, discrimination, domestic violence and a lack of education.
