Parliament trip for Rugby Town Guides

Rugby Town Guides enjoyed a trip to Westminster thanks to the Cemex Foundation.

They made a special visit to the Houses of Parliament recently to meet Rugby’s MP Mark Pawsey.

The group had a tour of Westerminster including the chambers, followed by a meeting with Mark.

There was a question and answer session, which gave insight about what was expected of an MP.

They enjoyed a meal in the Jubliee Cafe and spent time in the House of Commons shop where they bought sovernirs.

A visit to the Jewel Tower was another highlight of the day.

It was filmed for a documentary called A Day In The Life of An MP.

The trip was sponsored by the Cemex Foundation who gave £400 to cover the coach costs.
