Party time at Avon Dassett

MORE than 2,000 people are expected to descend on the small village of Avon Dassett tomorrow (Saturday) for its annual summer fete.

With attractions including displays by the British Army Bomb Disposal Unit and gun dogs, clay pigeon shooting, ferret racing and model railways, there will also be plenty of children’s attractions – including a fairground and bouncy slide, as well as a pig roast and other stalls, entertainments and refreshments.

Proceeds from the event, which will run from 1pm to 5pm, will go towards local and national charities.

Entry and parking are free. To find out more, call Steve Sartori at the Avon Bar and Restaurant on 01295 690270 or visit the event’s dedicated website.
