Pedal power for Warwick Ambulance Association after bike donation

Warwick Ambulance Association were officially handed over two fast-response bicycles at their headquarters in Emscote Road following a joint donation from several groups.

The purchase of the bikes was made possible by the WPH Charitable Trust, Warwick Lions, Halfords, Openhouse and various other local people.

The bikes will be manned by six specially trained volunteers from the newly formed Cycle Response Unit and will be used to reach casualties at local events where access by motor vehicles is difficult.

The chairman of Warwick Ambulance Association, Mike Cornes, wished to thank all the parties involved in the donation of the bikes.
