A very Murphy Christmas: Leamington bar owner Kevin spreads festive cheer with his Santa runs

We have all heard of Father Christmas but have you seen Santa Kev?

Kevin Murphy, the owner of Murphy's Bar in Leamington has been spreading festive cheer with his his lit-up and loud ' Santas sleigh' van provided by his friend Pete Smith and 'little elf' helper Tammy Miller while delivering cheapr meals to people around the town and Warwick who are living under Covid-19 restrictions.

And he has also been supporting the charity Turning Point by swiging by the houses of adults with autism to help them enjoy the festive season even more.

And just like Santa at this time of year, Kevin has been receiving much praise from the people he has been bringing joy to.

Kelsy Brennan, a team leader for Turning Point, said: "We support adults with autism, therefore COVID-19 has hit their routines the hardest, any little bit of joy goes a very long way and makes a lasting impression."

David Corbett also contacted the Courier to say: "They have been bringing joy in these sad times to loads of family’s and kids across the area

"Kevin should get a mention for all his hard work"

Kevin has thanked Pete for the use of the van and said: "We are all done now and Santa has headed back to the North Pole.

"But, for me it was just a great way of getting out and about , seeing people, and spreading some festive cheer."
