Leamington boxer Lewis Williams has won boxing gold at the Birmingham 2022 Commonwealth Games.

The 23-year-old , of Cleary’s Boxing Gym, beat Samoa’s Ato Leau Plodzicki-Faoagali in the final of his heayweight division of the tournament.

Williams boxed sharp and clever to win with a unanimous points decision and take the top spot on the podium.
