Gates will open at 10am, with the walk beginning at 11am and the event concluding at 1pm.
Mr Young, who has been an orthopaedic consultant at Warwick Hospital since 1988, wanted to raise money for the department's charitable fund by gathering people of all ages who have had broken bones mended or joints replaced by the Warwick Hospital team, to walk 'a mile with a smile' together.
The event is open to anyone, and the public are encouraged to sign up and bring their friends and family.

"When I started there were only three consultants. Now we are 13, who of course could not do the job without the excellent support of the wider orthopaedic team.
"We continually strive to improve the service we give to patients.
"The aim of the SKY Walk is to bring the orthopaedic team and patients together and to raise funds for our charitable fund.

"Please come and support your local hospital if you can and let’s hope for a sunny day on September 12.”
