Examinations officer from Leamington receives national honour
An examinations officer from Leamington has received a national honour.
The National Association of Examinations Officers (NAEO) has announced Jade Hussey of Trinity Catholic School as the winner of the 2026 Exams Manager/Officer of the Year Award.
Now in its fourth year, the award was introduced to honour achievement and raise the profile of examinations officers. This year's competition attracted almost 200 nominations from across the country, from which a shortlist of ten candidates was presented to a panel of awarding body representatives for consideration against the award's criteria.
Jugjit Chima, Chief Executive Officer of the NAEO, said: "One of NAEO's key aims is to recognise excellence, dedication and commitment to the exams officer role, and the annual Exams Manager/Officer of the Year Award is central to that mission.

"Nominees must demonstrate excellence in their role, whether within their own centre or across the wider exams community, with achievement of, or progress towards, the exams manager/officer professional standards considered an advantage.
"The nominations for the 2026 award were judged by representatives from the major awarding bodies - AQA, Cambridge OCR, NCFE, Pearson and WJEC - and the winners were celebrated at an awards ceremony held during the NAEO Summer Conference at the Oval cricket ground on Monday July 6."
Runners-up for 2026 were:
- Stuart Willis – Upper Wharfedale School, North Yorkshire
- Michelle Trigg – Henley Bank High School, Gloucester
- Kerry Repton – Derby Moor Spencer Academy, Littleover, Derbyshire
- International Exams Officer of the Year 2026 was awarded to Julian Felice of Gibraltar College.
