The Met Office is giving a 90 per cent chance of heavy snow in Rugby tomorrow morning, February 27, as it posts a yellow weather warning for snow across the Midlands.

Early-morning risers look set to be greeted with sub zero temperatures (including wind chill) and sleet from 5am until 7am.

Bad news for snowman makers but good news for drivers hoping for clear roads is the prediction of a bit winter sunshine starting from 2pm and lasting until 5pm.

The Met Office states the yellow warning means some roads and railways likely to be affected - with longer journey times by road, bus and train services.
