Fundraising appeal launched for well known Leamington UPS delivery driver Julie who has terminal illness

Julie Brookes has pancreatic cancer.

And her friend Pete Smith, who knows her from the days when he ran the Tandy store in Leamington, has set up a Crowdfunding page to raise money to support Julie's family while they care for her,

Pete said: "We visited her today, her sister Lisa has given up her job to nurse Julie, and this has put her under extreme financial pressure.

"So for everyone who asks "is there anything I can do to help?' the answer is yes! even the smallest contribution will help the family in their hour of need."

Well wishers have left messages of support on the Crowdfunding page.

One said: "Isee Julie often and she's got the most beautiful smile I've ever seen!

"I call her the leggy blonde - beautiful lady.

"So sad to hear she's sick.

"I'll donate soon and I'll also get some flowers and because I always see her outside the flower stand in town."

Another said: "Julie you are a beautiful person inside and out.

"Sending you and your family love and strength."
