There are currently more than 70 dogs at the rehoming centre hoping dog-lovers will take a break from watching the ups and downs of the tournament and consider giving them top spot at the heart of a new home.
From Greyhounds to German Shepherds and Labradors to Lhasa Apsos, the team at the centre work hard every day to make sure their canine companions fulfil their potential and are served up new homes sooner rather than later.
Dogs Trust Kenilworth manager, Emma-Jane Thomas, says: “All of our dogs are firm favourites with us here and all deserve to win the best prize possible, a home of their own, so we are hoping that we will soon be cheering them on their way to new adventures and a lifetime of success with their new families.”

5. Hope
Staffordshire Bull Terrier Hope is six and looking for a loving home with owners that will give her time to settle in. She would like to be the only dog in her new home but could live with children aged ten and over. She is happy to be left home alone but would benefit from this being built up slowly in a new home. 6. Nancy
Terrier Nancy is the grand old age of 14 but she still has a spring in her step and loves her home comforts too. She is looking for a quiet retirement home but would be happy to live with children aged 16 and over and would like her new family to be around most of the time. She loves playing with toys, especially food toys to keep her busy, and she could have a doggie playmate who is happy to plod around with this Older Age Pooch (OAP). 7. Effie
If you want a fun-loving four-legged friend, then two-year-old English Bull Terrier Effie could be the dog for you. She loves playing chase with her human friends but she loves to relax and snooze too, so she is a great canine companion. She can potentially live with children aged ten and over who understand that she likes some time on her own to chill out.
