This year the staff at the tourism information centre in Jury Street will be working behind closed doors during lockdown to ensure that the cards are ready and printed to go onto the tree which will take pride of place in the Market Square at the end of November.

The campaign usually starts with the lighting of the tree at the Victorian evening which has been cancelled due to Covid restrictions. The carol service of dedication has also been cancelled.

The lights will go on across Warwick on Friday November 27.

David Brain, president of the Warwick Rotary Club, said “The club was keen to ensure that although the Victorian evening has been cancelled, and times are hard, that we bring some Christmas spirit to Warwick town centre.

"The tree will once again be kindly donated by Barn Close Nurseries.
