Illuminated tree of remembrance
DON’T forget Warwick Rotary Club’s Lights of Love Christmas tree in the town’s Market Place where there is still time to leave messages ahead of a special ceremony at 4pm on December 16.
David Hamlington, who runs the nearby Hamlington jewellers, has sponsored the purchase of the tree for the past three years. But this year he added a message of his own, in memory of his late mother Jenny, who died at the age of 64 after a long illness.
Anyone wanting to commemorate a loved one can call in at various shops, including Torry’ Hardware, to complete a form and make a donation. Last year the tree raised £2,000 for good causes.
