On Sunday October 25, members of the community took part in the event, which had been organised by hairdresser Andrew Phimister-Double.
The free ticketed event saw people wearing Andrew’s handmade papier-mâché pumpkin heads for a walk in Abbey Fields and photos before heading to coffee shop Wedge.
The idea came about after Andrew and a client put real pumpkins on their heads last year and walked through Abbey Fields taking photos and then going for a coffee afterwards.
Andrew opened the event up to the community this year as a way to say thank you for the support he received for his recent fundraising for cancer charity Hair Reborn.
He said: “The event itself was fantastic.
“I never expected it to get as large as it did and the response has been phenomenal. I've already had people message about next year and to let them know the moment it goes live.”
