Kenilworth playgroup and preschool celebrates 30 years of caring for children in the town

A Kenilworth playgroup and preschool has celebrated 30 years of caring for children in the town.

The Spring Playgroup and Preschool was started by Jackie Cross at the Baptist church in Spring Lane in 1990.

It has always been free of charge to playgroup and preschool children relying on donations and grants for funding.

It now operates from the Keilworth Sports and Social Club having also prevoiously used the Kenilworth Centre at Abbey End and a portacabin at St Nicholas School.

It has up to eight staff, continually managed by Jackie , along with two deputies and has facilities for up to 40 children with 26 attending currently.

It has stayed open since the end of the last UK lockdown and has effective safety and hygiene measures in place.

It was also rated outstanding in its last inspection by Ofsted.
