Leamington kitten Boris whose leg was blown off in suspected firework attack is back home with his owners after life-saving surgery
Boris, who was named after UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson because he was born on the same day the first UK lockdown of the Covid-19 pandemic was announced this year, was attacked on the night of Thursday November 5 and, despite his horrific injuries, managed to bravely hobble back to his owner Lennie Cleary's home in Edmondscote Road where he was found in the back garden the following day.
He was taken to the Avonvale Veterinary Centre in Warwick where he had surgery to amputate what remained of his right front leg and to treat the skin burns he had suffered.

But he is now back with Lennie who said: "He's still not right.
"It's like he still thinks his leg is there and he keeps falling over when he tries to move anywhere.
"But he's alive and that's the main thing."
Lenny's daughter AJ launched a GoFundMe online fundraising appeal to cover the cost of Boris's treatment.

Lennie has contacted Warwickshire Police about the incident.
Anybody who has any information about what happened to Boris can call 101 and quote crime reference number 184 of November 6.
Insp Wayne Boulton of the Leamington Safer Neighbourhood Team said: “This was a cowardly and shocking attack on a defenceless animal.

"We’d like to hear from anyone who has information that can help us identify those responsible.”
