On receiving this news, Kevin said that he felt extremely proud and honoured to receive such a prestigious award, especially as he is 18 months away from the end of his career.

Kevin was also keen to give his mum, Joy, and wife, Teresa, a mention and believes their inspiration (and patience) has played a major part in his recognition.
