A spokesperson from St Patrick’s Catholic Primary School said: "For the past year children at the school have been provided with a hot buttered bagel as they walk through the school gates each morning.
"Funding for this has been previously provided by the National School Breakfast Programme, delivered in partnership with two charities, Family Action and Magic Breakfast and was funded by the Dfe.
"We know that children learn better when they are not hungry and that food is the fuel for learning.
"Unfortunately, that funding will end at Christmas."
