Leamington residents can be part of history by entering competition to design postcard of Pump Room Gardens
As part of the National Lottery-funded Pump Room Gardens project, Warwick District Council’s Green Spaces team is inviting people from all ages and community groups to enter the ‘staycation’ competition.
The winning design from each of six categories will be printed as a new set of special commemorative 2020 postcards for distribution through the district’s visitor information centres.

Hide AdWarwick District Council’s portfolio holder for neighbourhood services Councillor Moira-Ann Grainger said: “Since its Victorian heyday, Royal Leamington Spa’s much loved Gardens have become known as the town’s village green, a central meeting place, hosting countless events, a place to enjoy a picnic, listen to live music on the iconic bandstand or enjoy a lunchtime stroll.
"With many of us unable to get away this year, it would be wonderful if local people could create a postcard, which sums up what this wonderful open space means to them.”
Artist and Designer Garima Dhawan, who is on the competition judging panel, added: “We strongly encourage entries from all communities in Leamington Spa. We believe the ‘village green’ is a space for all to enjoy, and would like the 2020 postcards to reflect this.”

The competition is open until Saturday October 31.
