Leamington secondary school closes early for half term due to Covid-19 cases

A Leamington secondary school has closed early for the October half term due to positive cases of Coronavirus within its community.

A message on the North Leamington School website says: " As a result of recent positive cases of COVID-19 within our school community, we have made the decision (in conjunction with Public Health England and Warwickshire County Council Public Health) to close our school.

"School will close from Monday 19 October until Monday 2 November when we hope to fully open to all students as normal.

"It is recommended that all students self-isolate for 14 days as part of our collective efforts to get the virus back under control and to avoid further outbreaks next term.

"We will as previously continue to provide all students with their learning online via either Doddle or the schools portal depending on the year group your child is in. Staff will set work as per your child’s timetable.

"We would also encourage you to get your child to email their teacher directly if they need further support or guidance during this time.

"If you are struggling to access the work because of lack of ICT access then please contact school directly so we can provide support.
