A man is raffling his detached four-bed Rugby house and plans to donate £80,000 of the proceeds to Cancer Research as a tribute to his mother's recovery from cancer.

Raghav Jaswal said: "In 2019 my mother became sick. It was the most heartbreaking news.

"As we started with all the procedures there were a few hitches. The hospital where she would be treated was over an hour's journey away.

"That much travel was not good for her and we had to move closer to the hospital so we could avoid all the travel.

"My mum has had her surgery followed by chemotherapy and radiotherapy and now on oral medications. God bless, she’s getting better now and towards a full recovery.

"The house we lived in is a financial burden so we decided to sell it but instead of a traditional sell I’m raffling my house away and 10 per cent of the sale from the house will go directly to Cancer Research.

"If I sell all the tickets that’s £80,000 to Cancer Research.

"I hope this money will make a big difference towards beating cancer.

"Everyone in my family including myself donate every month to cancer research."
