National glory for over-75s Warwick walking footballer
A walking footballer from Warwick has added another medal to his growing list of honours.
Graham Timms, who plays walking football at Racing Club Warwick, recently won the National Regional Cup with England Central Over-75s.
Graham and his teammates were undefeated during the tournament and only conceded one goal.
He also played for the Birmingham and Solihull team in the National Club WFA cup.
Again, his team did not lose a game and only conceded one goal against club teams from all over England.
Graham said: "I never dreamed of ever achieving so much at my age, proving again that age is just a number."
Graham started playing in goal for Racing Club Warwick’s Over-55s Men’s Walking Team in 2025 at the age of 76.
He had not played football for 40 years before this and says he got involved to keep reasonably fit and for the social side of it.
