Neighbours in Cubbington street hold carol service from their doorsteps to spread festive cheer

Queen Street residents came out to sing and enjoy some mulled win and mince pies at 5pm yesterday (Sunday December 12).
The event, illuminated by the Christmas lights outside people was arranged by Irene Burden of Queen Street, who has been a resident in the village all of her life.

Hide AdIrene said: "We have supported each other through Covid-19 by joining each other on our doorsteps to clap the NHS and shared details of any shopping trips or deliveries to ensure those especially vulnerable were able to access essentials.
"Now, in true community spirit, we have held our very own mini carol service.
"We may not have our preferred festive celebrations but we are safe and have each other."
