The “virtual” Inauguration Ceremony took place on Maundy Thursday, April 9, presided over by retired High Court Judge Sir John Saunders, Resident Judge, His Honour Judge Andrew Lockhart QC and the Lord Lieutenant, Mr Tim Cox.

Traditionally it takes place in court number one at Shire Hall in Warwick but this was not possible due to restrictions associated with the coronavirus outbreak.
This voluntary role, which Joe will hold for one year, involves supporting the judiciary, police and emergency services and local charities.
As a former Chairman of Jaguar Land Rover and Ford of Britain he will be focusing too on initiatives associated with employability, particularly for those with special needs.

Joe said: “I am extremely proud to have been appointed High Sheriff. I would like to congratulate my predecessor, Simon Miesegaes on an outstanding year.
"In the current circumstances, my immediate priority is to offer support to the many community initiatives and volunteer groups operating in the county.
"I hope that shortly I can get out and about and thank some of the heroines and heroes working on the front line against the virus.
