Last week Warwick District Council granted permission for a new artificial playing pitch at Racing Club Warwick.

The support received from the council enabled the Club to draw significant funding from the Football Foundation, which will allow work to commence on a scheme of improvements, including the all-weather pitch, which will benefit hundreds of children and young people living in the area.
Cllr Martyn Ashford, Chairman of Warwick District Council, said: “After such a difficult few months of lockdown, it’s very rewarding to know that the plans for these wonderful new community facilities on St Mary’s Lands can now become a reality for Racing Club Warwick.
"These will give even more local children and young people the opportunity to take part in sporting activity throughout the year without weather or access restrictions.”

"The new pitch will give us a top quality playing surface for our first team, every day of the week, and allows Racing's teams to host all of our training and games, expand the academy and offer facilities to other Junior sides in the area alongside our plans for Women's, girls and disability football."
