Ben Whelan, who nominated Mr Browne, said: “He does all of this while holding down a job and running two businesses and still manages to have spare time for himself, while never asking for anything in return.

“He deserves to win this award.”

Mr Browne was a finalist in the Citizen of the Year Award last year.

He said that at the time Push had not been fully established and he did not think he was worthy of his nomination at the time.

He said: “We were struggling to get the charity established but it’s really thriving now

“It’s great that people feel what I am doing is valuable.
