The funds will be used to provide activities to the elderly during their stay at University Hospitals Coventry and Warwickshire (UHCW).

Karen Handley, customer relationship manager at Anya Court Care Home, said: “This charity is one we are delighted to be involved with as we know from the residents here how beneficial activities are to their wellbeing and even more so when they have to spend time in hospital.

"It was lovely to be able to return to see the team at UHCW in person again, present them with a cheque and pass on some goodies to the employees on the wards as a thank you for all their hard work during the pandemic.”

Expressing their gratitude for the donation, Rachel Wyles, activity coordinator at University Hospitals Coventry and Warwickshire, said: “On behalf of the elderly care wards at UHCW I would like to say a massive thank you to Anya Court Care Home for their generous donation, it is greatly appreciated as it benefits the patients and goes a long way to support the care in the elderly care wards.”
