Rugby care staff thanked for their hard work through Covid-19 outbreak

Staff at Home Instead Senior Care Rugby have been working hard to help people stay safe and happy in their family home during the Covid-19 outbreak.

The Lutterworth-based company provides care and companionship for older people, helping them to continue living in their homes across Rugby, Welford, Dunchurch, Clifton upon Dunsmore and surrounding towns and villages.

Sarah Slater, owner of Home Instead Senior Care Rugby, said: “As we know, this has been quite a difficult time for everyone, but we are happy that we have been able to continue to support vulnerable members of the community.”

Staff at Home Instead have also recently received goody bags to say thank you with a £10 amazon voucher, biscuits, and a chocolate bomb along with a year service badge and gift for each year.

A dedicated caregiver, Henrietta, said, “Thank you so much for my lovely gifts it was a nice surprise.”

Another caregiver, Sarah, said, “Thank you so much! Made my day!”

One relative of a client said: “Nothing is too much trouble.

"The manager and the team are always available by phone and the level of care provided by my dad's four caregivers is given with intelligence and dignity.

"This gives me peace of mind as I live a few hours away from my dad.”

Home Instead Senior Care provides services like day-to-day housework, shopping, meal preparation, assistance with dressing, bathing, eating and medications and household duties.

Visits vary from one hour to 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

Sarah said: “We have managed to stay Covid free since the pandemic and our staff have been amazing and have all worked so hard to keep everyone safe.”
