Southam Lions help schools with hand sanitiser donations

The Southam Lions Club have been helping schools in the county with donations of hand sanitiser.

During lockdown the Southam Lions have be continuing to doing what they can to serve the community, by helping with the food bank and attending to individuals, who find themselves in difficult circumstances.

Following on from on from Peter Guy’s recent initiative to supply hand sanitisers to whoever was in need locally, it turned out that there was a great demand from schools.

The Lions Club says that hand sanitisers are a necessity, if the schools are to re-open, and would be a sizeable cost on their already stretched budget.

Peter, Southam Lions Club secretary, has since approached local firms and secured their willing co-operation in this venture.

Cemax, who have their laboratories in Southam, donated 100 litres of the hand sanitiser they manufacture there and Ivopak, another local company, again donated 1,100 small bottles.

Lion club members then undertook the task of filling these 1100 bottles and affixing appropriate labelling to each.

The hand sanitiser is ready to send to schools including: -
