She started 'Emily's Lollies' in January 2019 and makes lollipops for occasions including weddings, however because of the pandemic Emily has been faced with postponed events.

Because this and because Emily recently found herself at University Hospital Coventry and Warwickshire (UHCW), she wanted to do something to help the NHS staff.

Emily said: "I run a small business selling handcrafted luxury lollipops for weddings and events.

"Like everyone else in the wedding and events industry Covid-19 has caused all my upcoming events to be postponed which has left my business struggling.

"On-top of this I am classed 'extremely vulnerable' as I have severe asthma and I am immuno-suppressed, so my husband and I are not able to leave the house at all.

"I spend a lot of time in hospital due to my asthma and after spending a week in UHCW a couple of weeks ago and seeing the pressure they were under but still providing the same excellent care albeit behind PPE I decided that I wanted to do what I could to bring some smiles to the staffs faces.

"I have been selling NHS Rainbow lollies to my customers and for every pack that is bought I am donating another to the NHS.

"The response has been incredible since releasing only a few days ago.

"I have already sent 25 lollies to Southam GP surgery and there will be another 235 lollies going to UHCW.

"I will continue this offer and hope to send as many as I can to the fabulous NHS staff, due to the quantity of orders I am receiving I hope to be able to send packs to other hospitals around the country.

"I would like to thank everyone who has already placed orders."

Emily's lolllies cost £5 per pack plus postage.
