Cubbington Community Help has been launched as a Facebook page on which people in and around the village can either ask for help or offer it.

Friends and relatives of vulnerable people living in the village who live elsewhere have also been in touch asking to see if anybody can support their loved ones during these diffcult times.

"I wanted to set up a group for people to be able to ask for help, and for people to be able to offer help, in the Cubbington area.

"I'd seen a few Warwickshire wide groups set up, but, given the restrictions on travel, I felt it was important for people to have a local place to ask for help, be that a request for essential items, someone to talk to, help arranging deliveries or collecting items, dog walking, or any number of other things.

"I also wanted to set something up where people who maybe live further away, but have parents or other friends and relatives in Cubbington (particularly elderly and vulnerable people who are shielding), could ask people for practical help on their behalf, where they can't provide it themselves.

"Cubbington has always been such a friendly village with a real feeling of community, and by setting up this group I hope to be able to continue this sense of togetherness, even though in reality we are all further apart than ever."
