The COVID-19 Support Kenilworth group and the Southam Community Sprit 2020 groups have been set up on Facebook and members are asking people to contact them, or to get in touch on behalf of their relatives, if they need any help during this difficult time.

Southam group member Kim Maria Karcali said: "Several local residents have set up this group to help vulnerable people in the Southam area that may be self-isolating due either to having symptoms of coronavirus or simply being to scared to go out in case they contact it.

"We are all doing this around our family life, jobs & for free. We want to let as many people as possible know that we will help them if they need us.

"Obviously if people have symptoms we would leave shopping at the door and not put ourselves in danger."

And Darren Rees, of the Kenilworth group, said: "We are helping Kenilworth's elderly and vulnerable group.

"We're trying to put the word out that anyone vulnerable can approach us and we will do what we can to source them some supplies, take them to collect prescriptions and carry out welfare checks if they're isolated."

Meanwhile, on the Cubbington Village Facebook page, residents are being encouraged to offer help those elderly and vulnerable villagers by dropping leaflets from the #ViralKindness campaign (pictured) through their letter boxes.
