Team at Leamington opticians kick start year-long fundraising effort for charity

The team at Specsavers on the Parade, are raising money for Myton Hospices and recently held a charity day in store. They invited customers to sample sweet treats in return for a donation while the store was also decorated with balloons and goody bags were handed out to customers.
To help boost the fundraising total, throughout February a raffle was held to win a pair of single vision designer glasses. Younger customers were able to enter a superhero-themed colouring competition with a sweet hamper up for grabs.

Hide AdLena Aggarwal, store director at Specsavers in Leamington, said: "We raised £318 in total and would like to thank everyone who supported our first fundraising event for Myton.
"We had a fantastic response to both the raffle and the colouring competition, and we’re thrilled to have been able to start our fundraising in such a positive way. We’ll be organising more events as the year goes on, so keep your eyes peeled."
The three Myton Hospices in Rugby, Coventry and Warwick focus on enhancing life when cure is no longer an option. Their work centres on patient wellbeing and involving them in decisions about their care, giving patients more quality time with their loved ones. In 2020, they will have to raise £9.2million to continue providing care.
